I'm looking to get a set of Airtags.
I have a 1yo iPad which I believe I can use to set up the Airtags, but I want to use my android phone for my regular tracking of these items. Precision Finding isn't needed regularly (could I use the iPad for this?), but can I just use the map feature on icloud.com/find on my android for regular use?

An Apple AirTag relies on both Bluetooth and the Apple "Find My Network" service on their iPhones. At present, the only thing that an Android phone can do with these tags is be notified if one is present ... it can't track it.
In addition, accessing the iCloud's Find My app, via a web browser, does not work with AirTags..
... so, unfortunately, you will not be able to take advantage of using AirTags with your Android phone.

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you want to use your iPad to track your AirTags. AirTag will need to be paired with an iPhone to locate it.
