Gmail text search problem on iPhone

Hello! The Gmail team is not responding to this question I originally posted here, no reply in more than a week already. Is it a taboo subject to ask iPhone-related questions on Google platforms and this is the reason why I can't even find features as basic as plain text search in a message being composed in the Gmail app for iPhone, can anyone comment on that a little bit, please? Shouldn't it be the duty of iOS to provide such a plain text search feature over all apps on iPhone? Missing this feature is very disturbing, I should point out as a user of iPhone:

I am not clear why you are not using the iOS mail app for Gmail. the IOS mail app is very convenient to use.

However, this is what google help says and I find it very comprehensive.

How to search

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gmail app.
  2. At the top, in the search box, tap Search mail.
  3. Enter your search criteria.
  4. Tap Search .

Another question I got when reading your reply is about the "My Subscriptions" feature of this website. I can see your reply under My Subscriptions, but not the one I wrote 8 days ago. Are these erased automatically and for how many days can I link to them via my username in this community?

I think a week is too short a time to wipe out the questions and answers, a year would be much better. But maybe I have misunderstood something as a new user of Apple services. A comment on that, too, would be appreciated, thanks.

Thanks for the reply.

I am using the app that you mentioned, I guess, as there is only one Gmail app available on App Store, as far as I can see.

Your search how-to doesn't really work in my case as the word being searched for is not highlighted nor scrolled to. However, it correctly located the email containing the word being searched for.

Anyway, I only need to perform this search in the particular email message that I am writing, not over entire Gmail. So I have opened the message for writing and what I need is something similar to the ctrl+F feature in Windows after I have opened the same draft in the browser on my desktop. How can I do it on my iPhone?

Well, regarding the Apple Support Community Staff email message from a noreply address:

We removed your post “Gmail text search problem on iPhone.”

Shouldn't this website be used for troubleshooting the usage problems of Apple products instead of blocking help like this? Why don't you remove replies that are obvious spam and appear to block reasonable replies instead?

Please read my question again and you should be able to see that both "I am not clear why you are not using the iOS mail app..." and "However, this is what google help says..." are completely absurd and off-topic responses, respectively, and entering/leaving the conversation like this is at least impolite or rather malicious conduct blocking reasonable replies, which needs to be addressed, so I did just that as politely as possible. Please remove this misleading blocker reply to make it 0 replies to my question so far, i.e. unanswered.

My question is plain and simple. Why is it so difficult to provide a reasonable reply? I feel that I haven't done anything wrong, but if this attitude of spamming and blocking continues then I'll just leave and share my experience at Apple Support, thanks.
