Focus Status Not Showing to Others

When I text people, I can see the "X has notifications silenced" message if they have their focus mode on. However, when I turn my focus mode on, I asked my friends if they get that same message and they said they did not. I have it on in the Messages settings, I have it shared across devices, I have the status option turned on, and basically every other possible option to turn on the status. I am updated to the latest iOS which is 16.6 at the time of posting. My friend is also updated to the latest version. I have tried restarting my phone multiple times but that still does not work. I don't understand why I can see when others have their focus mode on but when I turn mine on, it does not show them that my notifications are silenced.
