I was reading somewhere that if you have 16.5 IOS or higher imessage will still say delivered even if you are blocked. I do not think that is accurate. I have 2 phones. On seperste plans and i blocked myself on one of the phone and sent an imessage. It never said delivered. One phone is on IOS 16.6 and one is on IOS 16.5.1. What is the real answer???

I spoke with Apple twice and they said if blocked you will not see a delivered stays under iMessage..

There is no indication in Messages that you are blocked. You can't tell. And that's intentional.
This is not valid and someone may have said before, however when your saved on the providers phone number vs apple iCloud it may or may not say delivered. You will only be blocked on one or another or both if you had changed it. Hopefully this has been fixed.
I believe this is true! Because I text someone with an iPhone, they are using iPhone 14 pro and I have an iPhone 14 pro max and it said delivered and they never text me back and I called that individual it went to voicemail! when you blocked it never had a delivered status this is new and needs to be fixed with a new apple software update!
