Spotlight in app drawer finds nothing

i have an iphone se 2020 2nd gen running ios 16.6 and when i scroll screens all the way to the app drawer and use the search bar at the top to search for an app it finds nothing… no matter what app i search for….

why and how do i fix it???

ios 18.3.1 spotlight ui broken After updating to iOS 18.3.1, the UI is broken with spotlight searches. The search itself works, but the UI bug seriously limits its functionality. When typing the search term, the UI is completely blank. However when an exact match happens, the default suggestion shows up in the search bar (UI is still otherwise blank at this point). Then, if I launch the app or open the document and then return to spotlight, I see the expected UI content, however if I change the search in a way that would update the UI, it goes blank again. Yes, I’ve rebooted, turned search on and off, it is not still indexing, etc.

Spotlight search showing "dead" apps bug ios 16.5 a VERY annoying bug after installing 16.5. I can no use spotlight search on my iPhone for all apps. Some apps do not come up in search at all and when they do they come as this "Dead" grid icon that you can't click. I have tried Hard reset Soft reset Moving the app out of app library installing and uninstalling the app Turning siri searchable on and off Resetting network and location settings Note that it doesn't impact all apps but enough that its annoying. A long way to get around it is to search the app on the app store and open from there but that is obviously ridiculous. Apart from rolling back the update to 16.0 any other suggestions

Check for it under the App Library. Next to the last page of the Home Screen.

If it is in the App Library Touch, Hold and Drag the icon to Home Screen. That's it.
