M2 Mac mini keeps waking from sleep

Just got a new M2 Mac mini. Everything is great so far. Except that it randomly wakes up after I put it to sleep. I'm running macOS Ventura 13.5. The "Wake for network access" tab in Energy Saver is OFF. All of the Sharing tabs in the General pane are OFF. The only peripherals that are plugged in right now are a wired Mac keyboard and a Logitech MX Master 2S mouse.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Okay, I figured it out. In the Boom 3D app, in the Settings menu, the "Sleep when idle" tab needs to be turned on.

All of our Mac mini's (Intel and Silicone) are very sensitive to mouse movement after selecting sleep from the drop down menu.

The trick is to select Sleep and then do not move the mouse for the first 15 seconds.

Likewise we use a Hot Corner to Sleep just the Display(s) during the day and only use computer Sleep from the drop down over night or when away for an extended period of time.

WANT is not a good reason when it’s wholly unnecessary - it’s faulty operation.

Check Prevent on the Energy Saver settings (with Wake left unchecked) and use the Lock Screen to switch your display off on timer for your Mac to work properly.

Or live with the mystery problems caused by faulty operation. There’s no other “solution” unfortunately. Sorry!
