Call mutes other when I talk

When I start a FaceTime call with someone and they’re speaking then I start speaking it always cuts their mic off. It never happened when I had my IPhone X, but when I got the 12 and 14 it started happening. I thought this was audio ducking but when I turned it off it continued cutting the audio. So what do I do now?

If you have a hearing or sound issue on your device then please try some of these processes to set it right

If the above options do not mitigate the issues then Contact your carrier and then Contact Apple Support
