Reduction in sound volume

The sound level of my built-in speaker of my MacAir M2 producing about half the volume thadn usual. Is there any soft setting to fix it, or could it be a hardware failure?

MacBook Air, macOS 13.4

HAs the user tried the Link in Top Left of this screen ?

Incase it was overlooked, which can happen
