poor audio on new Mac mini

The sound coming out of my Mac mini is very poor- so soft that I can hardly hear it. I have set the volume up to almost full on the system settings but no luck. Is this a hardware issue with the Mac?

Mac mini sound stops going to headphone jack On my Mac Mini running latest Ventura OS, I have external speakers plugged into the headphone jack. They work for a while and then stop with the sound coming from the internal mini speakers. I check the sound settings and it still says external headphones. If I unplug the Jack and plug it back in, the sound once again comes through the external speakers. Ideas?

I think the new Sonoma update affects low audio on their built in speakers for some users I’ve seen some people like me who experienced low audio on their built in speakers since the we updated to the new Sonoma version on our MBPs. Like when I put the volume in half, it sounds pretty soft and barely hear anything. I have tried booting to Safe Mode if it can work but it doesn’t. Rebooting my Mac and Core Audio doesn’t work either. Other methods doesn’t work as well. I can’t tell if it it’s the software issue, hardware issue or a bug but this is the issue that should be fixed. I just want my sound back. What yall think what’s the issue?

Sound cuts out on Mac Studio My Mac Studio Computer has been connected to the Studio Display for over two months now and has worked perfectly. Starting today any sound has worked for only a few seconds before cutting out. This happens regardless if I am using my the Computers speaker or the Studio Display Speakers. I have restarted the computer several times. Checked sound output in System Preferences. It is not on mute. Have no clue

The built-in speaker isn’t meant for regular use, just system chimes and stuff. Use the headphone port, either for headphones or for connecting to computer speakers.

+1 If you want good sounds, then you need an external speaker system.
