I cannot add a caption to a Facebook photo from my iPhone but I can on my laptop.

So I was trying to post trip pictures and was going to describe where we were in the “add a caption” section but when I click on it it does nothing. The edit button in the top left corner or the dot on the right corner, nothing would do anything. I feel it has to be a setting on my phone because I was able to post and caption them from my laptop instead. Please help!! I’ve searched for hours!

Unfortunately, Meta is notorious for not replying so don't hold your breath.


In the mean time, try a forced restart and see if the helps. If it doesn't uninstall and reinstall Facebook.


Try a forced restart.


• Press and quickly release the volume up button

• Press and quickly release the volume down button

• Press and hold the side button.

• When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
