Unable to install Zoom on Ventura 13.5

I'm unable to install Zoom on Ventura 13.5. It first started when I upgraded to Ventura 13.5 and it required me to update the Zoom software. When I tried, I received Zoom error code 10004 and could not update Zoom and Zoom would not function. I then tried completely removing Zoom and installing it again, but I still wasn't able to install Zoom. I got the error message, "The Installation Failed. The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance." Unfortunately, I only have the "basic" Zoom plan, so Zoom isn't customer support isn't going to talk to me. I then tried rebooting my mac in safe mode and installing Zoom again but I get the same Installation Failed message. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a Mac Airbook, M1 Chip, 8GB SSD running Ventura 13.5

Make sure that your install file is not in a folder location that is synced by Dropbox or Google Drive. The shared location causes the issue. Create a temporary folder and install the program from there.

Are you sure that you are getting the correct version? The last time I downloaded Zoom, the main link that showed for mac was the intel version, and there was a separate link for macs with Apple Silicon.

Perhaps the download was corrupted somehow or perhaps there is something else that you have installed and is causing a conflict. FWIW, I have installed Zoom multiple times on Intel and Apple Silicon macs without issue.

I suggest you download it and try installing while in Safe Mode. Does that work? Are you running any antivirus or cleaners? If the problem persists: Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here.

Use the “additional text” button and paste the report into the text box.
