Email will not delete on Ventura 13.5

I have just "upgraded" (wrong word, for the mess that is Ventura) to Ventura 13.5 from Monterey.

There are more new issues than I can list here, but perhaps the most outrageous is that when I click on an email to delete it, it just stays there as if I had done nothing.

I have been an Apple/Mac EVERYTHING person since 2007.

Never in all that time, with MacBook Pros (my current machine), iPads, iPhones, etc, have I EVER been unable to delete an email. Just insane. This one happens to be a message that I sent to myself, from my Mac.com email address to my Mac.com email address. What gives ? I hate Ventura. 24 hours with it and I am losing my mind.

Hey there EH69,

Here's a link you can use to submit any feedback for Apple to consider: Product Feedback

Regarding troubleshooting the issue you're having, we'd like to help by learning more about what's happening, along with ruling out some possible causes:

  1. Are we correct in understanding that you see the option to delete a Mail message, but when you click on the 'Delete' option, nothing at all occurs. Is that correct?
  2. You also mentioned that this is occurring with one specific message, but are all messages you want to delete acting this way?
  3. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart. Check out the section ‘Restart your Mac' here: Shut down or restart your Mac

Cheers!
