Bell Visual Voicemail now only shows the setup icon; has anyone else gotten this on their phone?

Has anyone else found that since the latest iOS security update that their Visual Voicemail from Bell Mobility has disappeared?


It only shows the setup info, and once you enter your password the 2x, followed by done, a voicemail error message pops up.


I'm incredibly frustrated as I have called Bell several times, and their initial technical help people tried to fix the problem, only to refer me to their backroom support team, which has yet to call me back.


Can someone from Apple Support please chime in on this one?


This all happened since the iOS update 15.7.7 of June 21st/23 and all the Rapid Security Response updates on my phone. My Visual Voicemail had been working correctly up until then!!!


I initially called Apple Support and was then referred to Bell; however, I seem to be getting nowhere on the issue.


At this point, all I would like is for the problem to be fixed so I can have my voicemail working properly again, as it should be. Any help or insight would be appreciated!!! 🙏🏻

I understand your frustration, but Visual Voicemail is a carrier feature, and only the carrier can fix it.


I can see at least one problem, and there may be another. You only have 1 bar, which might not provide enough bandwidth for voicemail. AND voicemail requires a cellular data connection; it cannot work over Wi-Fi, so if you don’t have cellular data turned on voicemail won’t work.

I can see at least one problem, and there may be another. You only have 1 bar, which might not provide enough bandwidth for voicemail. AND voicemail requires a cellular data connection; it cannot work over Wi-Fi, so if you don’t have cellular data turned on voicemail won’t work.

Thank you for your reply. I do have my cellular on and although there is only one bar for the signal, I have always been able to access my visual voicemail in the past. I'm between a 5G tower to the north, another cellular and a 5G tower to the south of where I live.


I am aware that voicemail is a carrier issue but can't help wondering if the latest updates for both the iOS and the Rapid Security Response weren't the cause of this happening.
