Why is voicemail blank despite there being messages unheard?

To aid us in isolating this issue, can you confirm the following?

• Was this working prior to iOS 17 and if so have there been any changes from your carrier? Such as a new number, new SIM, new device, etc?
• Under Settings > General > Software Update, are you prompted to install a carrier settings update? If so, go ahead and install it. You won't be prompted if you don't have one available. Check out: Manually update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
• Do you use any sort of 3rd party security software on your iPhone? If so, disable or delete it and then test the problem again. See: Check VPN (Virtual Private Network) and third-party software to help resolve network connectivity issues - Apple Support

This exact same thing has been happening to me for months. I've been on the phone with Verizon about it for hours at this point, over several calls. Each person assuring me they're fixing it.

I've re-set Network settings, done tricks and troubleshoots...they always say it's being worked on, going to be fixed...and it's not.

If there's a solve for this, aside from getting a new phone and new network, I'd love to know!
