Apple ID for iMessage and FaceTime blocked
Hey there,
so I have been using my Apple ID for iMessage and Facetime over 10 years and I use it only with my families and friends.
On July 31st I suddenly lost access to iMessage across my Apple devices (MacBook Pro/Mac Studio/iPad Pro/iPhone). I contacted Apple Support, and the guy told me that my account was reported as spam or I sent too many messages. Both of which could not be true, because 1) I use iMessage to communicate with my families and friends only (less than 10 people); 2) I never sent excessive amount of messages (usually less than 20 per day). In the iMessage history I didn't see any suspicious messages sent to random people nor excessive amount of sent messages.
The Support guy "made an exception" and unblocked my account. I was then able to log on and I sent "TEST" to my wife. It went through. However, soon after I lost access again, although I did send only one message to my wife. So I contacted Apple Support again, and the guy said he couldn't see which message was reported as spam, nor when my message was reported as spam. I asked if the block was permanent, and he "crossed his fingers" that my account would get unblocked soon.
Now I still cannot use my Apple ID for iMessage or Facetime. I am furious because Apple accused me of sending spam, which I didn't, and without providing any evidence, and couldn't provide any meaningful support.
Does anyone have similar awful experience?
P.S. I have 2FA and I don't see any suspicious activities on my devices, so my account shouldn't have been hacked. The only suspicious thing is Apple blocked my Apple ID for iMessage/Facetime, and I still don't know why.
