Ultrawide monitor 3440x1440 does not fill up in full screen when watching letterboxed 16:9 content on Apple TV+ (Windows, Edge browser)

I.e. the video shows both horizontal and vertical black stripes instead of giving the option of (or automatically) zooming into the 21:9 visible part of the 16:9 video stream.

Tv.Apple.com Not Using Full Monitor on Windows 11 Laptop I have a large 3440 x 1440 monitor that I use with my ASUS Vivobook with Windows 11 installed. I've been watching Foundation on tv.apple.com, and the full screen doesn't use the entire monitor. It has black bars on upper, lower, left and right sides. This doesn't happen with Netflix or Amazon Prime videos, so I know it isn't an issue with the monitor, laptop or operating system. In face, I've noticed when the recap plays it does use the full monitor, so it isn't even an issue with apple TV. It just seems to be formatted wrong for the show? Kind of strange. Wanted to know if anyone else noticed the issue and if there is any solution anyone knows of? At the very least I want to create this to let Apple know they are causing the issue. Thanks!

iPadOS 16.4.1 External Monitor Aspect Ratio / Resolution I have a LG ultra wide (WQHD) 35" curved monitor. My 2020 MacBook Pro (M1) displays movies on this monitor beautifully because the ultra wide aspect ratio is the same (or at least very close) as most movies, and the WQHD resolution is very good. Setting the resolution / aspect ratio in OSX is intuitive. But I also have a 2022 5th generation iPad Air (iPadOS 16.4.1). It will play movies on the ultra wide monitor but the picture is small when mirroring the iPad display, and when I turn off mirroring the ultra wide display shows black bars at the top and bottom and the picture is extremely distorted (stretched horizontally). I don't see anywhere in the iPadOS to set the resolution / aspect ratio. Am I missing something or will the M1 iPad Air not display properly on a WQHD external monitor?

external monitor not fitting screen properly Hi. I have a Mac Book Pro M1 paired with a band new Samsung 28" LU28R55 external monitor but the picture is not fitting the monitor screen properly. It's small and the top and edges are cut off - not expanded to the length and hight of the potentiality of the screen. There's no option on the monitor to adjust this setting and it's the same with the settings on the Mac itself. Im using HDMI inputs and outputs from MAC book This is a 4k screen running at 60hz. Plug and play so the specialist say. Not sure what the issue is

To clarify: Apple TV+ sends 16:9 frames which, for shows like "Foundation", contain 21:9 content letterboxed above and below. Monitors such as my ultrawide, unlike TVs, don't offer alignment to content width, thus losing above/below black strips. This should really be a viewport option on the Apple TV+ browser app.
