external monitor not fitting screen properly

Hi. I have a Mac Book Pro M1 paired with a band new Samsung 28" LU28R55 external monitor but the picture is not fitting the monitor screen properly. It's small and the top and edges are cut off - not expanded to the length and hight of the potentiality of the screen. There's no option on the monitor to adjust this setting and it's the same with the settings on the Mac itself.

Im using HDMI inputs and outputs from MAC book

This is a 4k screen running at 60hz. Plug and play so the specialist say. Not sure what the issue is

Do you have an MacBook with an HDMI port, or are you using USB C to HDMI?

You might want to go to system settings>displays in order to change the display optimization and the resolution:

Optimise for

Choose to optimise for the external display or your desktop. This option only appears when you have an external display connected to your Mac.

Resolution

Choose the amount of detail your display shows. Choose Default for display to automatically use the best resolution for the display or choose Scaled to manually select a resolution. See Change your Mac display’s resolution.
