Google Earth Pro on MacBook Pro M1

I just installed google earth pro on my MacBook Pro (M1).

The Google Earth app (though labelled as an intel app 'GoogleEarthProMac-Intel.dmg') installed ok, but it seems it is not fully functional.

• It does not allow Import of KML or GPX files. However it allows 'Open'ing of KML or GPX files.
• Cannot change icons as well, there could be more, but I have not gone through all the features

Also, the google earth app does not have the option of 'Open using Rosetta' which is meant for opening intel apps on Apple silicon machines.

Has anyone found any issues or fixes for this google earth pro behaviour?
