google earth pro stopped loading in
Google earth Pro has been operating on my 2018 macbook pro
since i bought the computer new and i use it almost daily. Just before
christmas 22, the program started to load up and then just blanked off
my screen. At the time i had BIGSUR o/s and my google earth pro was up
to date (7.3.6.9345). To be clear when i dbl click the Google earthpro
icon the base program loads up, then when my mapping data is populating
the program just disappears off screen
The recommendations i saw were to clear the cache but you cant get into the
program to do that because it doesn't load and stay on the screen.
So i managed to create a work around....
if
i click and hold on the tool button when the initial GE program loads
up, the load procedure pauses and i can scroll over to the file button,
head down to 'sign out' and click. Once signed out the load stalls but
stays active but not able to fully function. Then i click the same
button to sign back in again and then google earth finished loading up
and seems to run without issue.
Once i got that
figured out i cleared cache and it did not make any difference. I tried
this over 10 times now and it still makes no difference.
when close google earth the start button icon will stay active until you force it to close
I have been on the support line with Apple who have indicated that this is out of their scope,
but through their process we have run first aid with no problems I have
replaced BigSur with Ventura 13.1 and i saved my data files from GE,
uninstalled google earth pro and then downloaded another ( 7.3.6.9345)
and re-installed and i still have the same issue.
I have no idea how to make contact with google about this issue.
Please help, I was a paid subscriber for google earth in the beginning and it is a part of my everyday life with work and play.
This is a shot of the error when i just dbl click on application button to
load and then it loads and disappears with no intervention from me
