Since I “ported in” my same voice line to another provider, despite selecting primary voice line as default in setting, it always goes on secondary SIM for dialing old contacts and I have to select(always use primary) from contacts, then it gets set to primary voice line for that particular contact. This happens every time for a contact which was dialed before port in transaction. Have you come across such issue?

Hello Namokhan,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities.

We want to make sure we understand exactly what's happening. You ported your numbers to a new carrier. Since the port completed, when you call a contact (that was in your Contacts, prior to the port), it defaults to and uses the wrong SIM to call out. And you have to select for each contact what line you want to use when calling out.

Have you checked to make sure none of your settings have changed since the port took place? See Using Dual SIM with an eSIM - Apple Support to double check.

Have you installed the most recent iOS 16.6 update that Apple released a few days ago? If not, you may want to install it to see if it will help with this behavior. Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support.

Reach back out if you still need help.

Take care!
