Dual Sim Calling issue

Siri and Apple CarPlay default to primary line when calling contacts instead of assigned secondary esim as noted in contacts.

default voice line Since I “ported in” my same voice line to another provider, despite selecting primary voice line as default in setting, it always goes on secondary SIM for dialing old contacts and I have to select(always use primary) from contacts, then it gets set to primary voice line for that particular contact. This happens every time for a contact which was dialed before port in transaction. Have you come across such issue?

Texting Through Wrong Line When Using Dual SIM I recently updated to the latest os (17.1.1). After this was complete I am unable to text business contacts through my business line, it always sends the text via iMessage on my personal line. I have reassigned the contact to use only my business line and not my personal line, but it switches by itself. This is becoming an issue, as several clients that I do not want having my personal number now have it. This was working perfectly until this os update. Any tricks to help me undo Apple's software glitch would be great! Thanks!

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

With eSIM not working with CarPlay, make sure that you have updated your iPhone and car's software to the available software. You may have to contact the manufacturer on how to update. To create a new pairing record, forget the car and pair it back with iPhone. If you use a cable to connect, try with a different cable.

Go to Settings > General > CarPlay, tap your car, then tap Forget This Car. Then set up CarPlay again.
