How do I delete a city from the Weather app?

I want to delete a city that I no longer need on my weather app

Tap the symbol in the lower right of Weather - the three vertical dots with the three parallel lines. Then swipe the city to be deleted from right to left and tap the resulting trash can.

removing cities from the weather app with no luck No matter what I try I cannot remove the city of Santa Clara from my phone. I’ve deleted it multiple times.
