Deleting memories, but keeping featured photos

I love the idea of a daily collection of random photos. But the music and the style of the memories is so atrocious. I hate it so much. The music is bad and the fact that it crops my photos is an insult.

How can I delete memories but keep featured photos in my widgets.

Once again, I like the idea, but the execution is terrible, I wish there was a way that I could view one type and not the other.
