I phone 12 won’t let me use cell data only WiFi . Says there’s an error . Have an update that will down load but just spins saying update verification. For over a hour . Tried multiple times over last few days . I’m stuck and need to not be using only WiFi . Thanks for any and all suggestions

We can't fix this one with an online remedy. Make an appointment at the Apple Store or take the phone to an authorized Apple Service shop.

Check with your carrier to make sure that they are providing a "real" 5G signal.
Check your iPhone 12 as follows:
Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Data Mode and make sure that the option to "Allow More Data on 5G Mode" is enabled.
Note that this may not work or be available with some cellular providers.
When I go to setting / cellular , that’s when I have an error and says I need to
update . When I go to update it downloads then says verifying update for hours in end and dosent do anything .
