2017 MacBook Air video lagging behind

My 2017 Mac has begun lagging video on every platform available on Mac while audio remains fine after the most recent mac update

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.6

Video lagging can be because of a number of background applications, or space constraints.

is able to give us a full report of system conditions leading to lags.

It is not possible to close all application. Mac OS has many hidden applications. If you run Etrecheck, it will generate a report of them, and help you isolate what should or shouldn't be running. We can give you a hand in that.

I have gone through and closed all applications and cleared much of the storage however the video continues to lag behind audio.
