Not enough ports for MacBook Pro (2022)

This version of the MacBook Pro only has two USB C ports. When looking for a hub with more ports, I can only find combination hubs with only one USB C, several USB 3, and one HDMI ports. However, many more USB C ports are needed as the newer SSD drives use USB C. I need two ports for that plus a port to attach the MacBook USB C charging cable. The only hub I could find that comes close (with USB 3 ports only) uses both USB C ports on the computer. In order to make everything work, it looks like a spaghetti factory attached to the computer! Solutions please!
