If you can't add Wise card to Apple Wallet to use with Apple Pay

Tried to add me Wise physical card to my Apple Wallet - it gave me 2 options for card verification: (1) SMS code; (2) Email code. Chose SMS code, but SMS never came through. Tried other 2 times, and no SMS. For the third time, it requested me to call Wise (card issuer) as verification method.

I had already called Wise several times, but they said they cannot perform any verification through the phone - verification methods to add a card are SMS and email only.

Tried to remove the card and add it from few different ways (through Wise app, through Wallet), but from now on, only verification method Apple accepts is "Call Wise".

Anyone had the same issue? Were able to solve?

THE ANSWER: I tried to add my WISE card to Apple Wallet and it did not work the first two times. Before trying a third time, I put $50 into my new WISE account using a credit card already in my Apple Wallet. Then I tried again and it worked! I was able to add WISE to my Apple Wallet.

I don't know if it was adding $50 to the new WISE card OR if it was using a credit card I already had in Apple Pay to add $50 to the WISE card. All I know is that it worked.

Sounds like Wise doesn’t have your correct contact information. Verification is just a step. The actual verification is from your bank/Wise. Have you changed your phone number lately? Are you trying to verify the account/card on an iPhone that has a different phone number?

Hi

I'm facing the same problem, although trying to add the digital Wise card, with the whole process said it's concluded, but simply doesnt work...

I was with a Brazilian phone number and address first registrated on both Wise and Apple, and then I updated they both with a new/temporary Australian SIM card number and it keep not working.

The Wise says by the end of the registration process, when concluded, I would see a small charge on may Wise account - what would be further reversed, but I have never come to this final stage...

If someone can help.
