iTunes Remote not connecting to iTunes on PC

For some time now iTunes Remote will not connect/show my iTunes library on my PC. I have rebooted the wi-fi router and ensured each device was on the same network. I am running iTunes version 12.12.9.4 and have updated the Remote App. I have been having the same problem with my iPad, but have been able to get it to work by adding the library manually. However, the iPad doesn't retain the library and I have to keep manually adding it. Is there some setting on my PC that is preventing the iTunes Remote from "seeing" my iTunes library?

Windows, Windows 10

Hi halinbrier,

It sounds like you're having an issue with the iTunes Remote app and your PC. If so, you can test forgetting the remotes and adding them back. The guid page here has the steps to help get you started: Change Devices preferences in iTunes on PC - Apple Support

If the issue continues, check to make sure no ports that communicate with iTunes are restricted or blocked. You can find a list of ports used by Apple Services here: TCP and UDP ports used by Apple software products - Apple Support

You can also double check your settings for any anti-virus software you have installed and conflicts with iTunes. This guide here can help: Resolve issues between iCloud for Windows or iTunes and third-party security software Specifically the "Test your security software" section.

Should the issue remain, reach out to Apple directly to further assist. Use the link here to get connected: Get Support

Cheers.
