Strange Rosetta/System behavior - Emergency OS update related?
All this took place after executing emergency update of OS per notification from Apple, in replacement of the recalled emergency update of the 11th. Wondering if others are having like problems or insights:
My new M1 Studio bought direct from Apple (OS 13.4.1), does not seem to have Rosetta 2, (no such file), and can't use instructions to launch intel app because they are grayed out with circle/bar. Can't find anything online about how to install Rosetta 2, though Microsoft talks about using Terminal with one of two specific command strings, which terminal does not recognize.
Possible clue/other oddity: Updates show that the Apple Apps (Keynotes, etc.) needed update. Garage Band updated fine, but the others refuse (image). Tied to that, in order to initiate, it refused to recognize my just set up Apple ID, forcing 'forgot' solution, but every time Apple sent a code, it kept saying the code did not match (liar). It then locked me out for 8 hours. Next day, it did let me in, but then wouldn't let me update, as indicated. AppleCare team was unable to help, other than suggesting system reinstall. I'm loath to do that, but will, if and when I come across an update that looks important enough.
