screensharingd eating all my RAM after Ventura 13.4 Update

Hello,

The correct version is 13.4.1 (22F82). After the 13.4.x update, screen sharing via official VNC support is not working, and all of my RAM is being consumed.

The RAM usage for screen sharing is as follows.

Do you have any suggestions on what I can do?

Screen Sharing not working on Ventura 13.2 I had configured Screen Sharing on my Mac Mini M1 to connect with my mobile devices (iPad) using VNC Viewer, it was working perfectly until updating to Ventura 13.2, now it wont work. The error VNC Viewer throws is: "The connection attempt timed out." I also have File Sharing turned on. I tried, turning off/on, off/restarting/on, off/shutdown/turn-on/on, nothing works. Are there any other ideas?

Screen sharing fails after a period of time I am using an M1 Mini and use screen sharing from my laptop to connect to it and manage it. Everything has worked for years and suddenly it appears to drop the connection after a period of time and I can no longer start a screen sharing (or VNC) connection. I am forced to use terminal on my local device and restart the mini [sudo shutdown -r now]. After it restarts all is well. Any ideas? It seemed to start happening on OS 12.5 and it persists on 12.6. Looked in the log files and I cannot find any hints. Any suggestions? Paul

How do I regain screen sharing access after enabling Remote Management on Mac? I’m running a headless server. And I accidentally turned on remote management. I was previously using only screen sharing. Now when I login to my Mac from my iPad or iPhone, using the screens, connect application, both remote management and screen sharing are great out and not accessible. When I try to change either, I get the message “Screen sharing is currently being controlled by the remote management service”. Thank you for any help. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

I frequently do vnc from home to my mac at the office, and I have not experienced this.

Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here. Use the "additional text" button and paste the report into the text box.
