How do I reboot all HomePods at once?

About once every few days, one or more of my HomePods forgets its one job in life, and can't play music or can't transfer music to other speakers in the house. Power cycling the HomePod seems to fix this.

Since this product can't do the one thing I bought it to do right, how do I reboot all HomePods in the house at once?

Alternately, how do I reboot a single HomePod using Siri or the touchscreen on the device?

I have six of them and it's an unacceptable waste of time for me to have to dig three menus deep in the Home app to reboot them one by one. This is driving me insane. Please for the love of God and all that is holy, help me.

There is no option to restart all. Siri cannot perform restarts either. The easiest way was as suggested that you say you’ve tried, by unplugging for about 10 seconds on each one. This is a restart.

Alternatively if you’re experiencing too many issues you can perform a factory reset, then set each one up again:

Unplug HomePod or unplug the power adapter for HomePod mini. Wait 10 seconds, then plug HomePod back in.
Wait 10 seconds, then touch your finger to the top of HomePod and hold it there.
The white spinning light will turn red. Keep your finger down.
Siri will say that your HomePod is about to reset. When you hear three beeps, you can lift your finger.

You otherwise might try just rebooting your wifi. This can fix common issues

if it was me then I would see if pulling them plug on them and then reconnect would resolve the issue

I have the exact same problem with my six HomePods. It’s frustrating daily and especially when friends are around.

I think am going to invest in six Matter supported wall plugs and then run a scene to remove power from all six speakers and then regain power so that they in a sense “restart”.

I’ll let you know if this makes for a good band-aid.
