homepod reset doesn't help

homepod turns on and off in about 30 min intervals. Software is updated.

I reset and half hour later, homepod turns off and i have to go through all this again.

What do you mean by “it turns off”? Are you playing music and it stops?

try restarting HomePod from the Home App

reboot the wifi

unplug HomePod, plug back in

I don't understand why, in the home app, sometimes i will be able to restart the homepod, but other times, there's no option listed except "remove accessory".

What's the trick to always getting "restart"?
