I have an iPod touch 5th gen that has been disabled for years now. It says it's disabled and to connect to iTunes. I have plugged it in to my MacBook but the power on button does not work so I don't know how to restart it to start the backup process. Is there any other way to restart it? It's very old and broken so I know it may be a lost cause but I would like to recover the pictures on there.

One thing you can try to do is bring your disabled iPod to your nearest apple store so they can reset it. This won't erase any photos or conversations (messages) you had on your device
