Hello, my name is killian and i am also another member of Apple's Support Community website, but i will be helping you through your concerns today. Happy to help :)

i am sorry to ear that you have been having problems with the AirPods Product. rest assured, i will help as best as i can.

for me to narrow down a conclusion, i will need you to provide some more information. Could you please check to see if there is any differences between an apple Verified Pair of airpods against yours?

here is how to do it:

  1. Verify that on the back of the case says "Designed From Apple in California"
  2. Verify that there is some information printed on the inside of the case at the top. this should provide some safety information including the AirPods Serial Number.
  3. Make sure that the Box has the same information as mentioned on the airpods case.
  4. when connecting the airpods via the popup on your home screen, please make sure that you do not get "AirPods Not Genuine" error as this indicates that this isnt a genuine pair of airpods.
  5. Please check the apple website here Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support

*this should provide information about the serial number*

If the serial number works on the apple website, this means that this is a serial number registered by apple and determines that the device is genuine.

here is some links i think may help with further observation into this question:

Please use this link to identify your AirPods: Identify your AirPods - Apple Support

to conclude this, i hope that the information i have provided you with has been helpful and resourceful, and i also hope it resolves the problems indicated. if you do have further questions i would be most happily to answer them for you. simply respond to this reply and i will continue to help. other than that, it was a pleasure helping you today and i hope you have a really good day :))

Thank you,

Killian R
