Logic Pro 10.7.8 causing problems with FaderPort 8

After I updated to Logic Pro X 10.7.8 my Presonus Faderport 8 wasn't functioning properly. After I would press the Marker button the unit completely froze and the display looked like it was having a seizure. Then I would have to Force-Quit Logic Pro and shut the Faderport down. I tried all the troubleshoot procedures for the Faderport but nothing fixed the problem. I tried 2 other DAWs and the Faderport worked just fine. Finally I downgraded to Logic Pro 10.7.7 and everything is working normally.

Has anybody else had any similar issues with Logic Pro 10.7.8?
