Logic Slows Down Every-time I add a Fade

Every time I add a fade to a region--especially crossfades--the spinning wheel of death comes up for 3-5 seconds. This slows my workflow down considerably. I've upped the I/O buffer to the max, I have an iMac from 2018 with 16GB of RAM. What can I do to fix this?

It happens regardless of whether I'm adding a fade via the fade tool, or the region inspector.

Logic Pro 10.7.8 causing problems with FaderPort 8 After I updated to Logic Pro X 10.7.8 my Presonus Faderport 8 wasn't functioning properly. After I would press the Marker button the unit completely froze and the display looked like it was having a seizure. Then I would have to Force-Quit Logic Pro and shut the Faderport down. I tried all the troubleshoot procedures for the Faderport but nothing fixed the problem. I tried 2 other DAWs and the Faderport worked just fine. Finally I downgraded to Logic Pro 10.7.7 and everything is working normally. Has anybody else had any similar issues with Logic Pro 10.7.8?

Logic 11 is buggy to the point of unusable Logic 11 is constantly crashing. Also when flex editing random flex markers keep popping up creating clicks and pops. I think I need a new DAW. Logic is broken to the point of being unusable. Maybe cuz I'm on an intel imac they no longer care or support this system.

Logic Pro X - Playhead jumps back when trying to edit. After using Logic for 9 years, I've become totally frustrated with the inability to preview an edit at a specific point in a region because the playhead jumps back when I hit play. I've tried turning off everything I could think of, but it still jumps back. I'm working on a Retina 5k 27" 2020 iMac using Ventura 13.2. Is it the OS? Is it Logic? Is it me?
