Voicemail error 1035

Does anyone know how to fix the error to setup my voicemail? When I try to save a custom voicemail message, it says 'The operation couldn't be completed. (com.apple.mobilephone error 1035.)

I have tried to hold '1' on the phone keypad, and it does not allow me to bypass the error.

Hey there Mikaylacw,

Just in case, we wanted to first make sure you had the steps to save a new voicemail greeting. The steps for doing this can be found near the bottom of this article: Set up your voicemail on iPhone After confirming you're taking the correct steps to change your voicemail greeting, we'd like to help by ruling out some possible causes, along with learning more about what's happening:

  1. Have you been able to change your voicemail greeting in the past, and if yes, when was the last time you were able to do that?
  2. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPhone
  3. We see you have iOS 16 installed, but the latest version is iOS 16.5.1. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then update: Update your iPhone or iPad

Cheers!
