Music Profile Not Showing for Child’s Account

I went around and around with Apple Support last night trying to address this, because with the new collaborative playlist feature, it will only work if everyone has an Apple Music profile. And my 10 yo was very excited to be able to work on a collaborative playlist with her parents. However, as best I can tell, Apple Music does not allow you to set up an Apple Music profile for a child under 13. And of course they've made it impossible to just change the child's birthdate in the iCloud account (from what I can tell there's no way to do that either). I am really frustrated with this because a family should be able to make a collaborative playlist together, even with a child under 13! Come on, Apple!

Although Apple administers these communities, that doesn't include reading each of thousands of daily posts for possible feedback. However, Apple will "read all feedback carefully" here:

Is this accurate? I ask I went back and forth with Apple support for weeks. Constant call backs and requests for software updates, signing out of accounts, deleting Apple Music and reinstalling it, etc. got nowhere and gave up trying to make myself available at the time slots they gave me. If it’s a case that under 13’s can’t have a profile then that explains it but frustrating that this isn’t documented and frustrating that it’s even a thing.

was looking forward to the family being able to use share play in the car but this seems to put a stop to that. Very annoying.
