Child can’t access Apple Music collaboration.

I’m trying to make a family favorites playlist to but our family’s favorite songs on. When my child (who is 14) tries to join, it says that my child doesn’t meet the minimum age requirements. On the help page it says the minimum age for collaboration on Apple Music is 13 years.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

He has an own icloud account which is part of my apple family. Unfortunately always when he tries to click on the playlist collaboration link he gets an error message, that the link has expired. Although he received it only seconds before. What seems to be curious is, than in his apply music app the collaboration button is not available although he already has ios 17.3 installed. Apple Music profile for a Child I cannot create Music profiles for either of my children on Apple Music. We each have individual Apple ID's shared on a Family group, They are logged into the Apple Music app under their own ID's, there are currently no restrictions switched on via the screen time controls and they are both permitted to set up profiles. The Red Icon in the listen now section does nothing at all when clicked for either of them. It's driving me a little bit nuts, am I missing something, please help?

Children’s Apple Music won’t link to Nest Mini I bought my children (ages 15, 11, and 9) Nest Mini’s for their bedrooms. They all have bedtime routines and bedtime playlists on Apple Music (we have family sharing) and I thought the Nest Mini’s would be perfect for them to use as part of their routine. My oldest was able to link her Apple Music account to hers, but I have not been able to do so with the younger two. We can use the mini’s as Bluetooth speakers, but that’s not why I bought them. I bought the Nest Mini’s so the kids could set up routines within Google Assistant. Is there was way to fix this or is this some arbitrary age restriction set by Apple? I’ve seen others say they had the same issue with both Google Nest and Amazon Alexa, which leads me to believe this issue is on Apple’s end.

Try this specific sequence:

Sign out of your account on Media and Purchases (Settings > Tap Your Name > Media & Purchases > Sign Out
Uninstall Apple Music app
Restart device
Install Apple Music app
Sign back into account on Media and Purchases
Go into Apple Music app

I had tried these but not in this order. Profile now available.
