When typing anything into the Google search bar the page moves up and you cannot see what you’re typing. This has been an issue for more than a year, with various workarounds being posted that are no longer effective. The problem persists and it’s ridiculous. Toggling the “landscape tab bar” in settings for Safari worked for a while. But now it no longer does. Tried new iOS update and reverted and still no solution…

Yes. Contacted both Google and Apple and went through a variety of troubleshooting steps that did nothing and concluded with telling me to use the Chrome app and the equivalent of “well pass along the feedback”. Was not helpful and almost seems to be a flaw by design to push users to use Chrome. But I know some people are able to use Google without issue.
It probably is a flaw that just doesn't happen to affect all users. I wouldn't use Chrome either, but you could try the Brave app which has its own search engine. There are other alternatives that can also be configured to perform a Google search if you prefer to use it.
I understand the Google search field becomes inaccessible when you try to type anything in it.
Did you contact Google for assistance? What was their response?
