Apple Watch Series 3 Bluetooth in Water

I connect my Apple Watch Series 3 to my wireless Earbuds (TOZO T6 True Wireless Earbuds Bluetooth 5.3) when I workout. They pair great except in water, I recently discovered. I want to listen to music while swimming laps, but as soon as my Watch is submerged under water, the music stops. Why is this? Both devices are waterproof, so I’m trying to figure out why the connection is stopping. How can I listen to music while I swim, any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
