I need to free up space on my Mac and wanted to move some larger MP4 files to iCloud. They are around 6G. When I try to upload I get an error message saying I cannot upload files larger than 100MB. This is minuscule by todays standards, and I have TONS of space in iCloud. Please tell me there is a way to get this stuff off my desktop! I have spent way too much time trying to figure it out.

Thanks I finally figured it out. For novices like me I wanted to post the steps I took. I logged into my iCloud account online. In the list of icons that comes up (when you click on the little squares at the top right) you'll find one with a blue cloud on it, underneath is says "drive". Click on this and it will take you to a list of all your files. At the top of this there is a cloud with an arrow pointing up into it. Click on this, and you can then select a file to upload into the cloud. I got messed up because I was clicking on the icon for photos and trying to upload my videos to photos, which apparently has a 100MB limit on it. Hope this helps someone like me, I spent way too long figuring this out.

Just move the files to your iCloud Drive folder. The file size limit is 50GB
