How can I change my default calling app to WhatsApp?

Why I can’t change my default call app to WhatsApp or whatever I want?

I need to know this too for iPhone 12,13,14 ,pro versions and pro maxs for employees to use 8x8 and our proprietary software that launches iOS or androids native calling app when using the outgoing call feature to a client on our app and the pre filled and company compliant text messages. How can I have this done to our 8x8 numbers while still using the iOS app that stores the client data to initiate an outgoing call. Please help me as well! Same fix would likely be similar or very close for your issue and question as well to change it to WhatsApp . Hope it can be done or a custom integration made that can be obtained easily by our agents so that data like number or calls initiated, number that the agent selected a disposition that elected to do a virtual meeting on a certain platform and the app shows each agents schedule. I’m sure this will be possible to integrate but I hope easier than I am thinking. We tried using personal lines for a while but as we have had many hurdles from using personal numbers (flagging as suspected spam despite being the most heavily regulated industry) and other problems we need to find a way to set up an iOS device to natively dial from a different voice application like 8x8 mobile or WhatsApp as asked above .
