Hi, have a new (and all things updated) MacBook Pro 14, 32 RAM with M2 Pro.
Randomly the Shut Down prompt pops up with 'shut down' as the highlighted key. I press cancel but now and then the prompt comes back again. Ideas??

Did you ever find out the cause or solution to this? Recently got a refurbished from Apple M3 Pro Macbook and this same issue will happen. Not everytime on wake but seems like 1 in every 10 wakes it will
That dialog box can be invoked with Control-Eject (if so equipped) or Control-Power, unless you have a touchbar.
Thanks a good clue in the investigation. A new MacBook Pro, so no eject button and control^ - Power (fast click) no response, longer click on Power makes it lock (as expected).
