Three diagonal lines of keys not working on iMac ie 678,union,m but worked when I connected keyboard to my iPad. So keyboard fine must be issue with iMac or Bluetooth connection to it. Any advice!

Make sure Mouse Keys is disabled.
Make sure Mouse Keys is disabled.
Attach to the Mac with the charging cable and retest. If it works that way you may have a BT problem.
If you suspect a BT problem, disconnect the KB from BT and reconnect it and retest.
Problem fixed keyboard mouse keys were on
