missing messages

Whenever I turn on a particular focus status it shows a number of notifications on my message icon. As soon as I turn off that focus the notifications disappear. Is this just a glitch or are the messages somewhere?

Deleted unread texts showing notifications I’ve been using my focus modes recently and discovered a possible bug. Id prefer Scenario 1- regardless of focus mode being turned on. Scenario 1: Not using a focus mode. WHEN you have an unread message THEN a notification flag appears IF you delete the unread message without marking it read THEN the notification flag disappears. ✅ Scenario 2: Using a focus mode (mine specifically hides messages from A person). WHEN you have an unread message THEN a notification flag appears IF you delete the unread message THEN the notification flag remains active and does not disappear. ❌ To solve this, you need to recover the unread message AND open the message.

New text message does not work The red dot showing new text messages disappeared. The only way to see if I have a new message is to open the app. Why is this gone. I’ve checked focus and nothing is on. Very frustrating
