Original HomePod Suddenly Buggy after HomeKit Architecture Update
My original HomePod worked flawlessly for the last few years. Then suddenly after the HomeKit architecture update it's very buggy.
All my macOS, iOS, and other apple devices in the house are all running the latest software.
When I ask the Original HomePod "What's the weather like outside?"
I get no response for a few seconds and then: "One moment. Sorry, I can't access weather information right now, please try again in a moment."
When I ask the same question to a HomePod Mini a few feet away in another room:
I get an instant response: "It's currently clear and 21 degrees..." etc.
If I remove the Original HomePod from the home and add it back, it works again. And then a few hours later or the next day, it's right back to being unable to answer simple requests, like weather. It is still working perfectly normally as the speaker for our Apple TV. I can use it as an airplay speaker from any device without issue as well. And it responds normally to HomeKit requests like changing the lights, for example.
What would cause this one HomePod to be unable to access weather information while all the others can? They're all on the same wireless network, in the same home, and just a few feet away from each other. And all running the same version of the OS, but behaving differently. Even after reset.
Anyone else experience issues with your Original HomePod after the update? Issues that persist after resetting it as well?
