problem adding contacts to favorites I have iOS 18.2.1 and can't add someone to "favorites." I follow the same procedure for others and for some people it works, for a handful it doesn't. The number I'm trying to add is correct and I call/text that person all the time. I've removed the contact, turned iCloud sync off/on, added him back in, rebooted again, sent the contact to myself and created a new one, etc. etc. -- all the fixes I could find online. I still can't add this person (plus at least one other) to favorites. I did the same thing for someone else and that person was added with no trouble at all. Any advice?

Can’t add a contact to iPhone “Favorites” list. I saw this question before and the answers weren’t relevant in my case but I did find a simple solution that worked. Write down the contact info. Delete the contact completely. Reenter the contact again. NOW add the contact to Favorites. Don’t know why this worked in my case. The contact may have gotten corrupted somehow. Didn’t have to reboot when I did this but you may want to turn phone off and reboot after deleting the old contact (just before reentering it). good luck.

I did a workaround, clunky but worked.

I forwarded the contact in a text to my cell.

Then added the contact to my contacts and then was able to add it to my favorites before I closed out the new, (duplicate) contact.

That worked...
