First see if another wall outlet or extension cord works
Is it not lighting up? If it’s not powering on it can’t be reset by pressing the top method. This requires it to power on and unplug etc. Otherwise see if it can be reset by removing from the home app
If none of this works you will need to get in touch with Apple to see about a replacement.
