what to do if homepod doesnt power up
I have an original Homepod that was given to me without a power cord. I purchased a genuine Homepod cord and attached it to the unit but it doesn't power up. Is there a fix to this?

The power cord wasn't really designed to be detachable. Perhaps that unit was already dead when its old cable was pulled from it.
